Amador Montes
Inspired by the emotion of unearthing a relic, the edition evokes ceremonial objects that emerge from the earth to reveal stories suspended in time. The decanter, safeguarded inside a case that acts as a treasure chest, awaits discovery; its surface marked with “vestiges”: symbols, words and motifs that speak to the artist’s life, work and imagination.
His art
His aesthetic is defined by spontaneity and a prioritization of emotion over technical perfection. For Montes, accidents are an essential part of creative discovery. His constantly evolving work incorporates elements of his personal life, his travels, and his everyday experience, shaping an expressive language that remains in continuous search.
The artist maintains a deeply intimate relationship with his work. His creative universe, inspired by emotions such as love and melancholy, as well as tender memories and childhood dreams, prioritizing freedom over technical perfection. “I live from mistakes, from accidents. I never paint without going outside the lines, without staining myself. I’ve had dirty hands my whole life,” expresses Montes. This limited edition celebrates that territory, embracing emotions and imperfection as part of discovery.
Mezcal
The spirit selected for this edition, our first limited edition mezcal, is a joven mezcal curated by our Master Distiller, Viridiana Tinoco, crafted from wild tepeztate agave (Agave marmorata). This species matures over decades in the rocky soils of the central valleys of Oaxaca, the state Amador Montes calls home.
The spirit is made following traditional practices that have been passed down for generations, through a local, artisanal process that honors the region’s mezcal-making roots.

Conceived as a hidden treasure, the piece created for this limited edition is revealed only after removing a golden veil, adorned with feathered motifs which safeguard it within its case: an intimate gesture of revealing that evokes ancient ceremonial rites.
The decanter features the unmistakable imprint of Amador Montes’s universe, a world built from spontaneity, earthy tones, organic forms, and a personal memory that remains its root.
The piece also reflects his fascination with the beauty of imperfection. It is adorned with the motifs that define his style: slender, long-necked birds that act as symbolic guardians; domestic objects laden with memory, such as stylized teapots and vessels; and handwritten words that evoke moments from his life.
Overall, this piece becomes a visual metaphor: a bridge between ancestral memory and contemporary creation; between the intimate and the ceremonial; between Oaxacan heritage and the artist’s emotional narrative.
