The Harmonies of Remembrance
The fourth Nuestros Recuerdos release celebrates the music and instruments of Día de Muertos, holding an añejo aged 26 months, finished in Scotch casks from Skye and Speyside.
Music
Día de Muertos is defined by a vibrant musical landscape, where drums, trumpets, guitars, and accordions fill towns and cities across Mexico on the first days of November. These melodies invite joyful remembrance of those who are no longer present, while live music accompanies parades and performances, creating a soundscape that is both festive and deeply emotional.
The Story
Tequila
Crafted by Master Distiller Viridiana Tinoco, the 26-month añejo tequila for this limited edition underwent an initial aging in American whiskey casks. It was then split into two batches: one finished in Scotch whisky casks from the isle of Skye, and the other in casks from the Speyside region. Both were then recombined to create this exceptional spirit.
